MDG is looking for a unique and dynamic Architectural Intern/Licensed Professional who can work alone or collaborate with others. We are looking for someone with 5+ years of post-academic Architecture Firm experience. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Revit is a requirement. Candidates also need to have experience putting together construction documents.

Successful design support is essential to the projects and managers, directly impacting the future of the MDG.

This position will include duties such as design, drafting, detailing, code research, site observation, and other activities associated with the practice of Architecture. Career development is something we encourage and support. We strive to support you in shaping your professional path!

To be successful in this role you have…

• At least 5 years of professional Architecture Firm experience outside of your time in school.
• At least 3 years of Revit experience.
• The ability to communicate effectively through written, drawn, and verbal mediums.
• Should have good graphic skills and the ability to perform analyses of design and planning.
• Experience with Construction Administration.
• Highly collaborative but can self-direct and be proactive.
• Detail and task-oriented with a passion for quality.
• Innate desire to produce meaningful work with strong design skills.

It would be nice for you to have…

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in architecture.
• An Architecture License.
• Experience working with commercial and/ or industrial projects.

Work Environment

• This position works in an office setting in Nashville, TN.
• For flexibility, we have established a system for the occasional need to work remotely.

Work Schedule

• This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. or 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Work-life balance is important here; it is rare we work overtime and/or weekends.

Travel

• Local and out-of-state travel may be required at times.
