AIA Middle Tennessee Membership
The American Institute of Architects is the professional society of architects in operation for over 150 years. The AIA, representing more than 95,000 members, is the voice of the architectural profession and a resource for its members in service to society.
The AIA is a tripartite federated organization meaning we have three points of entry into the organization. The AIA by-laws require that every member belong to the local, state, and national levels of the Institute as available in your area. No matter where you live, the AIA strives to respond to your professional needs and the public you serve. We offer a wide array of services, benefits, and resources to our members including access to informative databases, archives, and networks.
AIA Middle Tennessee is committed to helping architects meet today’s challenges by:
- Providing an increasingly robust platform for members to recognize and participate in AIA MidTN activities, events, and initiatives
- Promoting design excellence through knowledge development, delivery, dissemination, and environmental stewardship
- Serving as the collective voice of architects and the architecture profession to community, public, and legislative audiences
- Exhibiting and practicing business approaches and operational processes that are models of organizational excellence
The Tennessee AIA Leadership Network (TALN) is comprised statewide of the following components: AIA Tennessee, AIA Middle Tennessee, AIA Memphis, AIA Chattanooga, and AIA East Tennessee.
