Risk Strategies

Each year, in partnership with AIA Middle TN, Risk Strategies, presents an all-day seminar on legal issues and risks in the construction field, and how to best mitigate those risks. The seminars are typically held in December. If you have any questions regarding the Annual Risk Strategies Roadshow, please contact us.

AIA is dedicated to promoting the accountability of schools offering professional degree programs in architecture for better preparing their students to become architects upon graduation.

Gross Residential, founded in 1916, is a four-generation family business, which specializes in the development, construction, and property management of multi-family residential throughout Northeast Ohio, Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina, and South Carolina. As we continue to grow and expand into new markets, we are looking to add a full time Architectural Design Coordinator to our team. As a member of our in-house Design and Construction team, you’ll have the unique opportunity to work closely with our licensed architects, interior designer, and construction project managers through all phases of each project. This position requires proficiency with AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office suite of programs. Additional knowledge of Adobe, Sketch-up, graphic design and 3D modeling/ rendering software programs are a plus. This position reports directly to our Design Manager, who is a registered architect, and will be responsible for construction document production, project coordination, and some site construction observation. Working alongside our in-house architects, AXP Candidates will have the opportunity to continue their education and gain the experience needed towards becoming a licensed professional. Per the Metropolitan Charter, with the assistance of the department of law and the Metropolitan Planning Commission, the Director is responsible for establishing standard procedures for acquiring and disposing of land for Metropolitan departments, boards and commissions and maintaining an inventory of public property and equipment. The Director is also responsible for developing and maintaining strategic plans for short and long-term real estate needs for the government. The Director is member of the Finance Leadership Team. MHP Architects is a small architecture and interior design firm specializing in commercial and industrial architecture.  We have an immediate opening for a Production Manager.  This person should be both confident and competent in creating construction documents and coordinating design team deliverables.  Responsibilities include document production, detailing, material research, and construction administration tasks.  Applicants who also possess programming and design skills will be strongly considered. Must have Revit experience and be able to integrate models from various 3-D modeling platforms. Applicants must have either a degree in architecture or have broadly based experience.   There is no target range for years of experience; however, this is not an entry level position.
