AIA Middle Tennessee Announces Board of Directors 2021 Election Results

The following is a press release from the AIA Middle Tennessee announcing the results of the organization’s 2021 elections.    

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 

Today, members of the American Institute of Architects elected four new members to serve the organization on January 1, 2022, and beyond. 

AIA delegates elected Nick Dryden, AIA, as the 2022 First Vice President/2023 President-elect; David Proffitt, AIA, as the 2022–2024 Secretary; Kelsey Oesmann, AIA, as 2022-2024 Director; and Amy Hardin, AIA, as 2022-2024 Director. 

Nick Dryden, AIA, elected 2022 First Vice President/2023 President-elect.  

Dryden is the Principal Owner at Dryden Architecture + Design. DAAD is an award-winning architecture and interior design studio established in 2001. Nick and his team create meaningful human places that engage local resources, operate simultaneously as habitats, and create a lasting memory. Nick received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. 

David Proffitt, AIA, elected 2022-2023 Secretary.  

Proffitt is the Executive Director of Facilities, Maintenance, and Construction at Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools. David is passionate about how architecture and providing quality learning environments can enhance a student’s campus life and experiences. He is deeply committed to construction, construction techniques, and the construction administration process of architectural projects. David received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kentucky. 

Kelsey Oesmann, AIA, elected 2022-2024 Director.  

Oesmann is an architect and the Senior Manager of Design and Development at Urban Housing Solutions. With a passion for sustainable development and equitable housing policy. She was a finalist for the 2020 Nashville Emerging Leader Awards in Architecture, Construction, and Engineering. Kelsey received her Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Architecture from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. 

Amy Hardin, AIA, elected 2022-2024 Director.  

Hardin is an Architect and Project Manager in the Corporate & Urban Studio at Gresham Smith who loves unique design challenges. In addition, Amy serves on the AIA Middle Tennessee Government Relations Committee as Sustainability/Resiliency Chair. Hardin received her Bachelor of Architecture from The University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
