AIA Middle TN awards scholarship funds to students at the University of Tennessee College of Architecture and Design

In conjunction with The American Institute of Architects, the AIA Middle TN Chapter of The American Institute of Architects would like to congratulate the 2021 Student Scholarship Award Winners!

AIA Middle TN recently awarded scholarship funds to students in the 4th-year Integrations studios at the University of Tennessee College of Architecture and Design. Local architects and AIA Middle Tennessee members, Lesley Beeman, AIA of MZA Architects, Jason Hitchcock, AIA of Dryden Studio, and Hunter Gee, FAIA, of Smith Gee Studio, reviewed students’ projects, which all focused on sustainability, but each held a diversity of thought. Based on excellence of work and attention to sustainable design, reviewers named Emma Hines and Catherine Little from Kevin Stevens’s studio as first-place winners for their project entitled Crowning Kwanzaa. The second-place award went to Zachary Dulin, Michael Jenks, and Nicholas Van Son, from Hansjoerg Goeritz’s studio, for their project entitled Zug Island.

Congratulations to all the students on your excellent work!
