American Institute of Architects Elevates Three Tennessee Architects to the College of Fellows

Nashville, TN – March 12, 2024 – The American Institute of Architects (AIA) is elevating three AIA members from Tennessee to its prestigious College of Fellows, AIA’s highest membership honor, for their exceptional work and contributions to architecture and society.

The fellowship program was developed to elevate those architects who have achieved a standard of excellence in the profession and made a significant contribution to architecture and society on a national level. Architects who have been elevated to fellowship can be identified by the designation FAIA after their name.

David Bailey, FAIA, HASTINGS Architecture

David Bailey has dedicated his career to crafting architecture that integrates conceptually driven design, innovative environmental strategies, and contextual relevance that seeks a greater purpose in order to foster genuine connections amongst communities.

Tara Myers, FAIA, ESa

Tara Myers exemplifies the diverse roles architects play in shaping the world. Harnessing the power of collective impact, her servant leadership advances and educates the AEC industry while championing collaborative, equitable, and healthy society.

Tilman “Trey” Wheeler, FAIA, Tinker Ma

Committed to the good of the public realm and the profession of architecture, Trey Wheeler has led the Institute through persistent advocacy, shaping policy and statute, and teaching others to work effectively to create change.
